Organized labor is a legitimate interest whose disturbs must be taken into account on any serious presidential candidate.

The character of presidential leadership is to propose forth a vision of where the fatherland needs to go, how he/she means to get there, allow folks and groups to see their part in the plan, and inspire all citizens and assign places tos to get involved.

I have fought alongside organized labor all of my life in our shared commitment to abounding employment, liveable wages, worker safety, collective bargaining, health care, housing, equal opportunity, voting rights and other programs of humane priorities at abiding-place and human rights abroad.

I support organized labor's right to speak and act forward international labor and human rights issues, and I await forward to continuing our efforts in these important fields.

American working the public and the American labor motion have been the driving force behind each major piece of progressive legislation in the United States in this century

That includes minimum wage, social security, Medicare, basic health and safety legislation, civil rights. And in succession and on.

And, any Democratic candidate for President who doesn't recognize this progressive and central part of the American labor mental action does not, in my opinion, understand our history either as a party, or as a nation.

In 1984 for example, the members of the AFL-CIO provided the Democratic presidential candidate with a dramatic 61-39 percent margin.

The simple fact is that the American labor manner of moving is often way ahead of the Democratic Party in recognizing the issues which transaction and move ordinary American working population and voters. The election of 1984 is a dramatic demonstration of that.
