LIEGE, Belgium (AFP) — The family and friends of slayed 10-year-old Nathalie Mahy have bade her a final farewell, three weeks after she and another schoolgirl went missing in a case that has traumatised Belgium.

In stark contrast to the public attention their disappearance raised -- reviving dark memories of the Marc Dutroux paedophile crimes in the 1990 -- Nathalie's funeral was an intimate ceremeony at the beg for of her father.
