KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (AFP) — Afghan police killed 12 rebels from the extremist Taliban move in a firefight in Afghanistan's insurgency-hit southern Kandahar province, a provincial spokesman has told AFP.
The militants attacked a police vehicle forward a highway in the province late Monday resulting in the injury of a policeman, Kandahar spokesman Daud Ahmadi said.
