TRIPOLI (AFP) — The Tripoli criminal court has heard testimony from prosecution witnesses as the re-trial of five Bulgarian fosters and a Palestinian doctor accused of infecting Libyan children with the AIDS virus resum and was then adjourned to July 25

The three witnesses, a father and sum of two units mothers, appeared with their infected children -- sum of two units boys and a girl -- before arbiter Mahmud al-Huweissa.

The proceedings were held in subordination to tight security as parents carrying pictures of the victims demonstrated outside the courthouse.

A lawyer for the foments Othman al-Bizanti, said no defense witnesses had as over and above been called to testify.

however a new hearing was scheduled for July 25 when defense witnesses were to be questioned.

Bizanti had earlier asked to be given time to arrange for the appearance of 26 defense witnesses who are publicly in the eastern city of Benghazi, where the accused had worked.
