DETROIT, United States (AFP) — General Motors Corp. said its chief financial officer will head a special form into groups to study a potential three-way alliance with Renault and Nissan, and the matter will be discussed on GM directors on Friday.
A GM spokeswoman declined to say whether the dispose headed by chief financial officer Fritz Henderson, would have a preliminary report ready for the board of directors meeting.
"They're doing a certain number of preliminary homework," GM spokeswoman Toni Simonetti told AFP.
Simonetti also declined to illustration on news reports that GM chief executive Richard Wagoner will appropriate with Carlos Ghosn, CEO of partners Renault of France and Nissan of Japan, as presently as next week.
